Funds in Court (FIC) is committed to improving the lives of clients and their loved ones.

To help us do this, we get feedback and suggestions from two groups:

  • Client Consultation Group
  • Beneficiary Advisory Committee.

FIC also manages special events that clients can take part in.

Client Consultation Group

The Client Consultation Group is made up of 23 clients. They give us feedback and suggestions about FIC services and projects.

This group meets for discussions several times a year via online video calls. Members can tell us what they think during these meetings. They can also do this by completing written surveys after the meetings.

The Client Consultation Group has recently helped us to improve our:

  • writing goals
  • client satisfaction survey.

It has also been helping us to create a Client Charter.

Beneficiary Advisory Committee

The Beneficiary Advisory Committee gives us feedback and suggestions. It has seven members who are:

  • parents or caregivers of clients
  • representatives of the Law Institute of Victoria
  • a Transport Accident Commission (TAC) representative
  • a neuropsychologist and academic researcher.

The Committee meets four times a year. The members discuss topics with the Senior Master, Judicial Registrar and various FIC managers.

Embrace

‘Embrace’ is an event that happens every two years. Clients showcase their talents and achievements to each other, their friends, families and the staff of FIC and the wider Supreme Court. 

It is a wonderful night of community. We celebrate the incredible achievements of artists who have faced and overcome challenges and transformed their experiences into stunning works of art.  

We take great pride in supporting the creativity of our clients and providing them with a forum to display their skills. 

The next Embrace event will take place in March 2027.

March 2025 

The latest Embrace event took place in March 2025. Nearly 250 guests came together to celebrate our clients, their capabilities and their accomplishments.  

Forty-four participants displayed their diverse perspectives and personal stories. From paintings and sculptures to poetry and song, every piece of art and performance sought to inspire and spark new ways of seeing the world.
