You have the right to appeal a Transport Accident Commission (TAC) decision that you disagree with, but you should get some advice first. If you want to appeal a decision made by TAC you may be able to request a review.

There are three options for having a TAC decision reviewed:

  1. An informal review
  2. Dispute resolution
  3. A hearing review at the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).

There is information available on each option at TAC – Having a TAC decision reviewed.

You should always get advice before starting an appeal process. You should contact your Client Services Officer in the first instance. You may need to have a solicitor.
