If you have in principle approval and you find a property you like in the price range approved by the Senior Master, you should call your Client Services Officer.
Your Client Services Officer will arrange for a valuation of the property, building inspection and pest inspection.
Sometimes, the Senior Master will want to see that the property is suitable for your needs. Either a Client Liaison Officer or an Occupational Therapist will visit the property and see if it is suitable, or if it can be modified easily.
The reports are sent to the Senior Master. If the requirements of the in principle approval are met, then you will receive final approval to buy the property. Your Client Services Officer will make an offer on the property on your behalf.
They will coordinate the contracts between the selling agent and solicitor trustees, and make sure the paperwork meets the Senior Master’s requirements.
